PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, or El the advanced is the true beginning of your adventure. At the end of the PADI Open Water Diver course you were able to dive safely but now we focus on diving on different environment and on different circunstances. The Advanced Open Water Diver title does not have an expire date and allows you to dive with more freedom and at deeper waters. During the course you will learn many underwater techniques that increases your confidence, safety and knowledge about the underwater life and their environment.
What does it consist of?
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course has 5 theoretical chapters with its 5 corresponding adventures. Two of them are mandatory: Underwater Navigation Adventure and Deep Dive Adventure. The other 3 can be choosen with your instructor assistance before or after the course. The course can be finished in 3 days. But if you are in a hurry could be done in 2 days. Anyway 3 is recommended. Once you finish it, PADI will send your internationally valid credential by postal mail to your home. Which allows you to do scuba diving in water with 30 meters depth. The PADI Advanced Open Water credential also will grant you access to the most advanced scuba diver dive sites of the world.

How is the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course?
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course begins when you with your instructor decide which adventures you want to perform together. The first day you receive in your email the link to activate your online classes. You can do the theoretical part on PC or on an Android or iOS device.
When you activate it, you will see that the official PADI material of the Advanced Open Water Diver course contains small chapters with the notions about the adventures. It is not necessary to do them all! Only concentrate on Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation and the other 3 that you have previously agreed with your instructor. Optionally after the course you can complete all that you find interesting with their corresponding adventure dives (as long as the logistics allows it). The independent study can be done in the diving center or better yet, in the rental house, on the plane, at the bar having a coffee or even before arriving Lanzarote. It will not takes more than a few minutes per chapter. So once you get into the dive center, we only resolve those details in which you have doubts and focus on the water. It is no longer about attending classes but about enjoying diving. Besides, these are vacations and nobody wants to study during their vacations, right?
Once the theory is completed in the diving center we will prepare your equipment with the additional materials that we will need for the adventure and we go to the water to do the 5 adventures onsite corresponding to the chosen chapters. In Northdiving Lanzarote we are known for offering in the courses an exclusive instructor for you, so you will have her full attention when doubts arise. In the water you will see that the skills are simple and greatly expand your knowledge of the underwater world.
Since PADI allows us to do up to 3 training dives per day, it is possible to finish the course in just two days, although we recommend 3. Once you have completed the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you will receive a temporary credential valid for 90 days until PADI processes the official one and sends it to you by postal mail and then… Congratulations! You are an advanced diver! Enjoy it!
