PADI Divemaster Course
Being PADI Divemaster, or DM, makes you the first elite link in the scuba diving world. You will not only learn new techniques but you will start focus on the diving techniques you already know to impreve them up to a demonstration level to finally teach with them the thing you love: Scuba Diving. Even being on holydays you can show your PADI Divemaster credential and you will see how every door is opened. Every divesite of the world will be for you.
What does it consist of?
During the PADI Divemaster course you will have assignments as Deep Diving workshop, Search and Recovery workshop, stress management, emergencies management, skills quality workshops and more. The PADI Divemaster course has a minimal duration of 3 weeks. But it is most recommended to make it in one month. The main idea of the course is to submerge the candidate into the every day’s Northdiving Lanzarote divecentre business and learn as much as possible. Learn about scuba equipment, compressor usage, diver group’s management and PADI programs. At the end, your new PADI Divemaster credential will not be longer like an student credential because you will be part of the PADI family. Then your responsibility is bigger than any recreational diver even if you are not working.
Requirements
- To be PADI Open Water Diver or similar
- To be PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or similar
- To be PADI Rescue Diver or similar
- Have finished an EFR primary assistance and first aid course in the last 24 months
- To have good health and be at least 16 years old
How is the PADI Divemaster Course?
You are ready to become a PADI Divemaster. You know it will cost you work and dedication. If you are not from the area, we can help you get a place to sleep that fits your expectations and budget. Once established, the work begins. The road is long but you will not be alone. Because from now on your instructor will no longer be just your instructor. It will be your colleague and confident. Because you will work as a team for your training in the professional area of recreational diving. You can trust her with any questions that may arise during or after the course.
As a PADI Divemaster candidate you will start early in the morning at the diving center to get to know the business in a normal day. It is time to prepare the tanks, the equipment, receive the people and work the aspect of attention to the public. Then we will go diving together and in some cases you will learn to guide groups, programs like PADI Discover Snorkeling or help people understand alternatives to some skills. People who are in that first step: the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program or maybe in a PADI Open Water Diver course, many times they need full confidence in their tutor because as you well know, this is the first time they are using the scuba gear and that moment can be magical. Your instructor will accompany you during all the time because learning to do well that job is the gateway to success as a PADI Divemaster. Because the divers you are diving with will undoubtedly remember you forever.
After we are back from the divin gactivities to the diving centre the job does not end as it begins your daily classes. We have to complete knowledge reviews, exams, workshops and more. We can promise that the first days you will sleep very well. As the days goes by, just when the work becomes natural, is when you will realize that you are close to become a PADI Divemaster. There will be few workshops such as Deep Diving, skills demonstration and evaluation or Search and Recovery, to finally process your PADI membership.
When you are ready we will gather all the documentation (it is no longer just a form) to send it by mail. At that point, our work together is done. It only remains to wait for PADI to process and approve your membership and assign you your unique member number.
